Cable & Satellite
The Carlyle House is wired with two sets of digital coaxial cable, one of which is owned by Comcast. To order, or for pricing and services, please visit the Comcast Website. ![]()
The second set of digital cable with which the Carlyle House is wired is owned by the condominium and currently leased to Dish Network, which has satellite reception equipment on the roof of the building.
The Carlyle House is considered a commercial property by DISH Network, and it is not possible to sign up via their website. To subscribe, you must call their local franchise, Global Digital Satellite, at 703-780-1900 or 703-765-4435.
Other "Dish" Services and Restrictions
While other satellite (dish) services are available to consumers (i.e., DirectTV, Voom, etc.), The Carlyle House encourages the use of existing facilities, rather than clutter the exterior of the building with "dishes." If you choose a satellite provider other than DISH Network, that service will only be available to those in apartments at the back of the building (South), due to line-of-sight requirements. You will also be required to adhere to the following guidelines, excerpted from the condominium's Rules & Regulations: "Satellite dishes are permitted only if they do not protrude beyond the plane of the balcony panels or rails and are displayed as low as possible to obtain service. Nothing is authorized to be affixed to the balcony floor, ceiling or walls."
